Presidents Message

Welcome to the California State Sheriffs’ Association (CSSA) web site.  CSSA is a professional organization representing the 58 elected California County Sheriffs and is the oldest law enforcement organization in California being established in 1894.  

California Sheriffs are sworn to protect ALL the citizens of California and through CSSA, you can have input to allow the Sheriffs to conduct their duties to the best of their abilities.

California is in a financial crisis and CSSA has pledged to work with the Legislature and all of our City, County and State partners in developing a plan to end the crisis while still providing you with excellent service.

Within the web site, you will find information on the Association and how to become one of our partners as an Associate, Business or Corporate 100 member.  You’ll also find information on our opinions on legislative issues that affect the citizens of California.

Our CSSA staff is a very dedicated and professional staff and they are more than happy to help you in any way that they can.
