Individuals and Business who want to take a proactive approach to support public safety in their communities may join the California State Sheriffs’ Association Foundation (CSSAF), a tax-exempt charitable foundation.
As criminals become more sophisticated, technologically advanced, and better armed, the job of a peace officer becomes even more difficult and dangerous. Your ongoing support for Sheriffs and their staff becomes that much more important and meaningful.
The California State Sheriffs' Association Foundation is a nonprofit professional law enforcement organization that represents the 58 elected Sheriffs of California. CSSAF has served as a unified effective voice on matters of public safety for over 100 years. The Association was formed with the purpose of sharing resources, information and providing assistance to Sheriffs and departmental personnel, thus enabling them to improve the delivery of law enforcement services to the citizens of this State. CSSAF also functions as a legislative watchdog for sheriffs and their personnel on law enforcement and public safety issues.
Every sheriff works diligently with their fellow sheriffs through CSSAF to improve the profession and to elevate law enforcement services through cooperation with other law enforcement agencies.

Individual Membership Program
Individuals may become members of CSSAF by contributing at one of the following membership levels:
- Associate Membership $35 – includes one year membership, membership card, two bumper stickers/window decals, and a one-year subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff.
- Joint Membership $55 – includes one year membership for two individuals, two membership cards, two bumper stickers/window decals, and a one-year subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff.
- Gold Membership $100 – includes one year membership, two membership cards, two bumper stickers/window decals, and a one-year subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff and a Family Pack First Aid Kit.
- Platinum Membership $200 – includes one year membership, two membership cards, two bumper stickers/window decals, and a one-year subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff, a Family Pack First Aid Kit and a Solar & Dynamo AM/FM Radio with Flashlight.
- Lifetime Membership $325 – includes lifetime membership, life member metal license plate holder and membership card, two bumper stickers/window decals, name recognition in California Sheriff as a life member, and a lifetime subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff.

Business Membership Program
Throughout California, over 400 businesses have become members of the Association, and proudly show their support of CSSAF programs and services by displaying their membership plaques on the walls of their offices and businesses. The Business Membership Program serves as an excellent example of how law enforcement and the business community can work together as partners for safer and stronger communities.
Businesses may become members of CSSAF by contributing at one of the following membership levels:
- Bronze $50 – includes one year membership, a 7x9 plaque with bronze star, membership cards, two bumper stickers/window decals, and a one-year subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff.
- Silver $125 – includes one year membership, an 8x10 plaque with silver star, membership cards, two bumper stickers/window decals, and a one-year subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff.
- Gold $250 – includes one year membership, a 9x12 plaque with gold star, membership cards, two bumper stickers/window decals, one-year subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff, and a partner listing on calsheriffs.org.
- Platinum $500 – includes one year membership, a 10x14 plaque framed in gold with a gold star, membership cards, two bumper stickers/window decals, one-year subscription to our quarterly publication, California Sheriff, and a partner listing with a link to your Web Site on calsheriffs.org.
All of the plaques are black with a walnut base. Each plaque is engraved with the words, “This Business and California Sheriffs are PARTNERS for PROGRESS. Strengthening Law Enforcement is our common goal” and has custom year tabs provided upon annual donation and an emblem star the color of your membership.

*The California Sheriff magazine is the official publication of California State Sheriffs' Association Foundation. It is published quarterly. The annual subscription is $6 and is included in your membership dues.
Corporate 100 Partners Program
In addition, business may join through the CSSAF Corporate 100 Partners Program for $2,500 annually. This program enables 100 excellent corporations to collaborate with California’s 58 Sheriffs’ on a very exclusive basis.
